This is a WORKING unit.
Over the past six years, we have encountered three of these units, and each has exhibited cracks in the threadhole section. This suggests that the transparent polymer used is more brittle compared to the materials in the production models. Although assembled to the same specifications as operational units, it appears that the screws were tightened beyond what this more fragile material can withstand.
Because of that, the adjustment knob is also very stiff, and we won't suggest to mess up with it.
