Shipping was very fast. Price was right.
This tube came with a data sheet, and I was pleasantly surprised that the FOM was actually 1480.2, with a SNR of 24.67 and a Resolution of 60 LP/MM. the luminance gain was 8600.
I’ve used the tube for about 6 weeks now, in all lighting conditions, and I’m pleasantly surprised with its performance. During my zero moon, starlight only romps into the heavy woods, I can still navigate fine without supplemental IR light. I should add that I’m in a very rural area, away from cities, and away from most neighborhoods.
If I could get another one just like it, I’d probably pair it with my very cheap b*stardized ANVIS housing I have laying around for binos.
Also: customer service was exquisitely helpful in all aspects. I will be buying from Aeontac again as soon as I’m ready.
Note: the following photo was taken with an iPhone 13 Pro Max, through an American PVS-14 using Chinese Glass. It was an absolutely moonless night, far away from any cities (20+ miles, very flat land) and the light sources in the photo was almost invisible to my naked eye.
