Snagged these on Black Friday and they blew my expectations away. The White Phosphor is super clean, and the clarity is honestly better than some older Gen 3 units I've used. AeonTac really knows their stuff—the build quality is 10/10 and the communication was excellent throughout. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get into duals.
The housing has a lot of great features that even some of the high cost housing don't have. They also include a battery pack with the binos. The NNVT work really well and dont have a lot of noise to them even in very low light areas. Also having the RPO 4.0 lens make the image even clearer. In my opinion these binos are a great pair if you want to get into nightvision with out spending an arm and leg.
This IS my first set of nods. But what I can say is how crystal clear, and physically light this set up is. This housing and its features is really nice. The independent pod power is really nice. Having the option to run a single pod for what ever reason is handy.
Everything feels nice and tight, but not to tight, no having to force anything.
I can’t wait to get some serious time behind these.
Also being my first set, I now completely understand when people say, phone pics/video do no justice to how well a NVG set up performs.
I did try these in a pitch black room, with black out curtains, at night. Could still see. What else do you need to know. I was surprised at how far I could see with no moon out side. There is SOME ambient light around my house, but I’m in a mountain town, not the city. Needless to say, I’m impressed.
